Brian Eno

Brian Eno – a thinker, an artist, an activist – is our firstcyberflâneur. Famous for pioneering ambient music and “unique conceptual approaches and recording techniques to contemporary music”, Brian has been described as one of the world’s most influential artists.

Brian has collaborated with the likes of David Bowie, David Byrne, U2, Coldplay - to name but a few - and was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Among his many interests and activities beyond the world of music, he is a founding member of the Long Now Foundation and has been President of the Stop the War Coalition.

He has chosen some terrific pieces from our stacks - across audio, video, and text - including on how architects have finally embraced communities in their work, the effects of pollution on crime, why we should trust intuition, and the power of the commons.
